Belagavi: State Women’s Congress Cell president Laxmi Hebbalkar and Congress District Labour Unit president Lakkanna Samsuddi involved in a verbal tussle at KPCC office in Bengaluru prior to the start of party’s coordination committee meeting on Wednesday.

Samsuddi had many complaints against Congress leaders in Belagavi when he met party’s state in-charge K C Venugopal. He alleged that several Congress leaders were involved in anti-party activities and BJP workers were being entertained in Congress party affairs in Belgavi district congress set up. At least for an hour, several news channels aired on the spat between both Hebbalkar and Samsuddi at KPCC office over various issues relating to Belagavi Congress.

Several leaders of Congress party were present at the KPCC office, Queen’s Road when both the leaders were in a tussle. Later, the coordination committee meeting was held headed by Venugopal which was attended by Siddaramaiah, Dr G Parameshwar, Oscar Fernandes, R V Deshpande, D K Shivakumar.
