Belagavi: MD of Rajeev Gandhi Housing Board Munish Moudgil has urged authorities to terminate the permission given to beneficiaries of various housing schemes if they failed to get their houses constructed within the deadline set for them. He said, the permission should be terminated without giving any notices to them.

He also asked his officials to cancel at least 10 beneficiaries from every taluk and two from every local body if they are found not having houses in the sites allotted to them. However, he said, the permissions given to widows or senior citizens should not be cancelled. He warned officials of facing stringent action if they were found not initiating action against the beneficiaries of various housing schemes. Several top officials including HQA Suresh Itnal were present at the meeting convened by Mr Moudgil on Wednesday.
