Belagavi: A two-member high-power delegation of Airport Authority of India (AAI) reviewed the progress of Sambra airport upgradation and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing works. The AAI is likey to announce the dates for inauguration of airport terminal building which is almost ready for the launch, according to Rajesh Kumar Maurya, Airport Director.

Sanjeev Jindal, GM (Engineering-Civil) and Ms. Charul Shukla, Joint General Manager (architecture/planning) are the two officers who reviewed the entire upgradation work and came up with many vital tips and suggestions to further bolster the upgradation works at the airport. They putforth some suggestions and changes to further add beauty to the terminal building, one of the most high-tech and modern terminals. The officers appreciated the efforts of AAI engineers and all agencies involved in the upgradation of different installations at the airport and also suggested some minor changes on some works to further enhance the beauty of the terminal. The delegation also was impressed by several other works taken up at the airport mainly those surrounding the terminal building.

Several other works surrounding the terminal building also are on verge of completion including the beautiful garden and grass carpet. According to Airport Director Rajesh Kumar Maurya, the landscaping/gardening work going on at a fast pace is expected to be completed within the next 15 to 20 days. He said, with the help of experts, plants of different kinds and grass are grown in the garden that added to the beauty of the airport terminal building.
