Davangere: BJP president Amit Shah landed in trouble on Tuesday after a slip of tongue during a press conference post the announcement of Karnataka Assembly election dates. In an attempt to attack Siddaramaiah, Shah ridiculed one of his own in front of the national television. Instead of using the name of the Karnataka Chief Minister, Shah by mistake said “Yeddyurappa government” is the most corrupt government ever in the state.

What’s even funnier, is the fact that this happened while Yeddyurappa who is BJP’s candidate for chief minister in the Karnataka Assembly elections, was seated next to him. Another leader corrected Shah immediately and he backtracked saying that he had meant that Siddaramaiah would come first in a competition for most corrupt government. Despite his last-ditch effort, the damage had been done.
