Belagavi: A united effort by various organisations and seers demanding development of North Karnataka region will take off tomorrow as hundreds of seers throng Suvarna Soudha where they will be staging a dharna. However, Uttara Karnataka Horata Samiti (UKHS) has decided to hoist separate North Karnataka flag only if it gets a permission from the agitating seers tomorrow.Several organisations have supported the dharna to be staged by seers tomorrow, even as former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa announced in Bengaluru that he would join it. Sources said, it is still unclear as to whether Yeddyurappa will join tomorrow or not.

UKHS released the flag in Belagavi today and said that its agitation for the development of the region would continue until the state government took concrete measures. The leaders of samiti condemned Chief Minister Kumaraswamy’s statements against North Karnataka and said, it would send a wrong message to the entire state. They said, the leaders of this region should get united and fight for its development.
