Belagavi: Bowing down to the protests over his decision of bifurcating the Visvesvarayya Technological University sharing a few branches to his native town Hassan, CM Kumaraswamy told Belagavi South and North BJP MLAs Abhay Patil and Anil Benake, respectively, that he would take back the decision and maintain the university intact.

The MLAs met CM at the Vidhan Soudha before the commencement of the session and submitted him a memorandum on which about 50 legislators from north Karnataka signed opposing the bifurcation.
