Vijayapura: Normally it is not usual to see twin sisters attending SSLC exams, but certainly it is rare to know that the sisters secure exact number of marks in the exam. This rare phenomenon happened with Saba and Zeba Mulla; the twin sisters of the city who have secured 99.2 % result by getting 620/625 each in the SSLC exam.
Daughters of Liyaquat Mulla, who is serving as Head Master in the government school Babanagar in the district, the sisters are the students of SECAB educational Institution of the city. Rejoice and elated for getting twin result like them, the sisters said that they used to spend around 7-8 hours in a day studying and preparing for the exam. “We were confident of getting good marks, but never thought that we will get exact same number of marks in the exam. This is very surprising for us”, said Saba. She said that the constant support of the family and the teachers helped them achieve good marks.
Asked whether the lockdown owing to Covid pandemic made any impact on their studies, Zeba said that the lockdown had its own advantage and disadvantage. “The good think about lockdown is that we got enough time to study at home as there was nothing else to do. Therefore we could spend more time in preparing for the exam. But on the other hand, we faced certain difficulties also in preparing for exam. Since we could not go to school, it was difficult to clear our doubts. However, the teachers helped us through online classes in clearing the doubt and preparing for exams”, Saba said. Wishing to take science in PUC and become doctor in future, the twin sisters advised the SSLC students to work hard and spend at least 7-8 hours studying for better result. “If the SSLC students have already got their study materials, then start studying now itself. It will help the students when the schools will reopen in coming days”, Saba said.
Equally elated is their father, Liyaquat Mulla who said that he encourage her daughters to do best in their academics. “I have four children and I have dedicated mylife to ensure best education for them. My twin daughters have made me feel proud with their results. I am sure they will continue to give similar performance in their future studies. I wish all parents to support in the study of their children whether they are son or daughters”, he said.
